5 minutes from the park this beautiful river is open for the general trout season June 1 - Oct 31. Steelhead season starts on Nov 1 and runs until the end of March.
Wooten Wildlife Area
Only minutes away, this area is home to Bighorn Sheep, Deer, Elk, Black Bear, Turkey, Quail and the occasional Moose!
Umatilla National Forest
Surrounding the upper valley are thousands of acres of public land. Take a short hike to Sheep Creek Falls on a hot day and stand under the waterfall!
The nearby historic town of Dayton has a vibrant downtown area full of interesting shops and restaurants and golf. It has the oldest courthouse in the state of Washington. (pictured)
